Behind the Curtain: My Shorts Strategy
Less Than 30 Mins/Week
Hey Creators,
Back in February 2023, I dipped my toes into the world of Shorts, only to chicken out shortly after.
My Create with Creators YouTube Channel
But fast forward to 2024, I decided to give it another go... and let me tell you, the results were MIND-BLOWING.
With barely any effort (less than 30 minutes per week!), my Shorts got shown in the feed a whopping 42,300 times, racking up 15,600 views.
The big takeaway?
You can get MASSIVE reach on YouTube Shorts without sacrificing your entire life.
Here are my top 5 lessons learned, sprinkled with a bit of friendly advice:
Start with what you have: Don't wait for the "perfect" equipment or setup. I started with my trusty iPhone and some basic editing tools. Remember, progress over perfection! You can always upgrade later.
Upgrade your camera over time: As you grow, consider investing in better equipment. I gradually improved my camera, and it made a HUGE difference in video quality.
Get better at scriptwriting: A well-written script is like a warm hug for your viewers - it keeps them engaged. I focused on crafting concise, impactful scripts that hook the audience from the start.
Study storytelling: Every great Short tells a story. Think of it like a mini-movie! Learn the basics of storytelling to create Shorts that resonate emotionally with your audience.
Make sure your business backs up to your content: Your Shorts should align with your overall business goals. Think of them as little magnets, attracting your ideal customers and supporting your brand.
And most importantly, remember that consistency is key. Keep creating, keep experimenting, and you'll see your Shorts reach grow!
