Your Ultimate Podcast Interview Prep Guide

Hey, Creatives!
We've all been there: the awkward silence, the meandering conversation, the missed opportunity for a truly insightful interview. But what if I told you that every podcast interview has the potential to be pure gold?
That's right! With the right preparation, you can transform your interviews from "just okay" to "can't miss" episodes that leave your listeners wanting more.
Your A-to-Z Checklist for Podcast Interview Success:
A is for Angle: Every great interview starts with a clear angle. What unique story or perspective are you trying to uncover? What questions will get you there?
B is for Background: Don't just skim the surface. Dive deep into your guest's background, expertise, and recent projects. The more you know, the more targeted your questions will be.
C is for Conversation: While it's important to have a plan, be open to the natural flow of conversation. Some of the best moments happen when you go off-script.
D is for Deeper Questions: Ask "why" and "how" to get beyond the surface level. Encourage your guest to share personal anecdotes and insights that your listeners won't find anywhere else.
E is for Engage Your Audience: Always keep your audience in mind. What are they curious about? What questions would they ask if they were in your shoes?
F is for Follow-Up Questions: The most insightful answers often lead to even better questions. Listen closely and be ready to follow the thread wherever it leads.
G is for Gear Check: Technical glitches can ruin an otherwise great interview. Test your equipment beforehand and have a backup plan in case of any hiccups.
H is for Human Connection: Remember, you're not just interviewing a topic, you're interviewing a person. Show genuine interest and build rapport with your guest. It will make the conversation more engaging and authentic.
...and so on to Z (Zero Stress When You're Prepared)!
